RENT ASSISTANCE BANK

The Rent Assistance Bank is a pilot project aimed at supporting participants in settling rental debts, as well as helping them rebuild their financial autonomy. For now, only 15 people will be able to benefit from the financial support, and they will need to meet specific criteria.

Why ?

  • Ensure housing stability for people in situational precariousness.

  • Enable their financial inclusion.

  • Assess the current situation to find long-term solutions.

  • Help beneficiaries rebuild financial autonomy by adding an educational component to their efforts.

Eligibility criteria

  • The borrower must have a positive borrowing capacity (i.e., the difference between 35% of their income and their housing cost)

  • The borrower's repayment capacity must allow them to repay the loan within a maximum period of 5 years.

  • The borrower must not owe more than 3 months of rent.

For whom ?

  • Individuals, couples, or families with low income who have not been able to accumulate an emergency fund or access credit. If they do get credit, it's often at very high rates, which only worsens their situation. They are forced to leave their homes and end up on the streets.
